The Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) and the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB) have released the official timeline for the shutdown of the Siscomex LI/DI system, expanding the mandatory use of LPCO and Duimp within the Single Foreign Trade Portal, in line with the New Import Process (NPI).
This measure was approved by the Siscomex Executive Committee and its implementation will depend on validation by the private sector through the CONFAC Cooperation Subcommittee, ensuring a planned, gradual, and secure transition.
From the established dates onward, the registration of LPCO and Duimp will become mandatory, and the use of LI/DI will no longer be allowed.
Entities classified under Group 1 (Public Administration) will continue using the DI for a later stage.
If critical issues arise, the deadlines may be reviewed — reinforcing predictability and operational security for all stakeholders.
To operate in the new environment, companies must have an active and up-to-date Product Catalog, which is essential to proceed with registrations and clearances.
With this change, Secex and RFB reaffirm their commitment to modernizing, integrating, and increasing the efficiency of Brazil’s foreign trade.
If your company is not yet prepared for this transition, now is the time to align processes and ensure compliance!
